Our team isn’t made up of people looking in from the outside. We’ve been there. Some of us have spent time in care, bounced around the system, and done time in prisons across the UK — from HMP Hindley and HMP Doncaster to Strangeways (HMP Manchester). We’ve walked those corridors, sat in those cells, and survived those visits. We know what it’s like to wait for a letter, a phone call, a court decision. We understand the pressure it puts on families, the confusion over rights, the fight to stay strong and connected.
