We built it from lived experience — from prison cells, care homes, broken systems, trauma, survival and injustice.

Our Story

PrisonHub and Help My People Support Service (HMPSS) were created by people who have lived through the prison system — not people reading about it from an office desk.

Some of us grew up in care. Some of us experienced neglect, trauma and instability from a young age. Some of us spent years being misunderstood, labelled or ignored by systems that were supposed to protect us.

We know what prison does to families. We know the pain of missed calls, cancelled visits, broken mental health and feeling powerless against a system that often treats people like numbers instead of human beings.

Why We Created PrisonHub

Because too many people are abandoned once prison becomes part of their life.

Families are left confused. Prisoners lose hope. Care-experienced people fall through the cracks.

We wanted to create the support system we wish existed when we needed it most.
